chocolate cake with mousse
RECIPE IS FROM HERE which is originally from Crave: A Passion for Chocolate book :)
Ingredients:
CAKE
– 150g of butter
– 150g of dark chocolate
– 5 big eggs
– 1 spoon of cocoa
– 170g of fine sugar
MOUSSE
– 100g of butter
– 100g of dark chocolate
– 3 big eggs
– 2 teaspoons of cocoa
– 115g of fine sugar
– 2 teaspoons of gelatine (melted in 80ml of hot water)
Also: baking paper, 20-23cm round form.
Making the cake:
whisk egg whites, add sugar (add sugar in 3-4 parts)
Mix egg yolks mixture with chocolate. And next mix it gently with egg whites foam
Butter the form, and put baking paper inside.
Pour the liquid inside
Put in preheated oven. Bake about 25-30min in 180C
cake will collapse and will make a space for mousse :)
don’t take it out of the form.
Prepare mousse like the cake – melt chocolate and butter, mix egg yolks with cocoa, whisk egg whites with sugar.
Mix chocolate with egg yolks, add melted gelatine, add egg whites foam, and mix them gently.
Pour mousse to the collapsed cake, and put in the fridge for at least 4 hours. (but it’s better on the next day :D )

ingredients:
– 200g coconut shreds
– 100ml of 36% cream
– 70g of powdered sugar
– 70g of butter
– some rum exract (not necessary)
– 200g of chocolate (milk or dark) I used milk
Okay~
mix shreeds with sugar:
Mix it with the shreds (also add extract if you’re using it), and make small walnut-size spheres:
put them in the fridge on the baking paper for a while~
melt chocolate, and coat the coconuties, using a toothpick or something to help :D
put in fridge
